Getting ready for its first dyno run at Garry Grimes Twisted Engines, Facility.

The 735 cfm Holley is a little small for the 512 ci. Calculations indicated that the engine should stop breathing around 4,800 RPM. (See Rebuilt notes).

The engine looked and sounded great (see Dyno video). Garry put set of Boss NASCAR headers on the engine for the test. I really loved the look, but in reality, the stock exhaust manifolds will take their place.
Close to what was calculated, the engine did start to "suck wind" just below 5,000 RPM.(Dyno Numbers).

After getting the engine back from Garry, the stock exhaust manifolds took the headers place. Looks kind-of small.

The engine is now ready to install back into the engine bay. Notice the original spark plug wires and distributor cap. Not too bad for 34 year on the car.
On the back of the block you can see the stamped VIN number.
After the use of some bad language and a few Ford adjustment tools, It fits (barely!).
Ready to reassemble the rest of the accessories in the engin bay.
